LA Auto Show 2025 Kicks Off Next Week, Kia and Hyundai Tease Major Debuts

The automotive world turns its eyes to Southern California next week as the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show opens its doors. The event kicks off with its influential media and industry day, AutoMobility LA, on November 20th, and major reveals are expected.

All eyes are on the Korean sister brands, Hyundai and Kia. Kia is heavily rumored to be unveiling its first-ever pickup truck concept, reportedly based on the successful EV9 electric SUV platform. This move would position Kia to compete directly with rivals like the Rivian R1T and the announced Scout Terra.

Not to be outdone, Hyundai is expected to finally show the production-ready version of its wildly popular N Vision 74 concept. The retro-futuristic, hydrogen-powered sports car stunned the world with its design, and bringing it to market would be a massive statement for the brand’s performance “N” division.

Beyond the Koreans, several other brands have confirmed test drives and displays. Scout Motors will make its auto show debut, giving the public its first in-person look at the Terra pickup and Traveler SUV concepts. Rivian, Lucid, and Honda are also slated to have a major presence, offering ride-and-drives of their latest electric models.

The show will also feature a larger-than-ever “Innovation Plaza” with mobility tech from companies like ARC Boats (electric wake boats) and Pivotal (personal electric aircraft), signaling the auto show’s evolution beyond just cars.
